The Short Stop, Model 350
AC Leakage Current Tester

If you are a rental store or tool crib, this is the tester for you!

The Model 350 SHORT STOP™ verifies the safety and performance of electrical equipment. It's fast and easy! Just plug in the tool, attach the ground clip and operate push buttons 1-5. No special skill or training required.

"Your service is at the top of mylist. The Short Stop Model 350 has been with me for some time and as long as I send it in for normal calibration once a year, I never

have any problems."

Bob Smith, Brevard Rentals

Standard Features
Full 20A current capacity
All 120V power tools in common use can be tested.

Tests extension cords
A built-in extension cord tester checks continuity and ground wire resistance.

Tests quality of ground wire
The quality and continuity of the ground circuit is measured. Poor quality ground connections are rejected.

Verifies tool performance
Multi-scale ammeter reads the current drawn by tool. This helps identify defective bearings, gear trains, shorted coils or poor brush contact.

Direct reading leakage meter
Displays actual leakage current with good, marginal and danger levels clearly shown.

No dangerous high voltage
All tests are performed at normal line voltage. Repeated high voltage testing degrades a tool's insulation and presents an employee hazard.

Specifications
Electrical:

Continuity:
Continuity lamp verifies that the resistance through the ground wire is 0.5 ohms or less when measured at five amperes.

Line to line shorts:
Rejects line impedance of less than three ohms.

Line to case shorts:
Rejects fault currents in excess of seven milliamperes.

Meter Accuracy: 3%

Leakage current test:
Conforms to American National Standard C101.1, 1973 as recommended by Underwriters Laboratories. Non-linear circuit displays actual leakage current over scale of 0.1 to 10 milliamps.

Self-test: Provides a built-in reference for self-verification.

Receptacle: NEMA 5-20R non-locking.
