 |
|
Applications |
| The model 280 type testers are ideal when your application calls for: |
- Production Testing
- A custom designed tester
- An automatic test sequence
- Adjustable parameters
- Data Acquisition
- Statistical process control
- Barcode input
|
| This new state-of-the-art test station offers you total control over your production testing. Take full advantage of the data acquistion features for your statistical process control program. |
| Features |
- Test apply tolerance limits you establish for each product type. Windows enviroment provides an easy to use system. An optional touch screen is avail able.
- Data is displayed on the screen as the test progresses.
- All compliance and operational tests can be conducted from a single test station.
- For products that are to be srviced in the test area, a diagnostic screen directs teh operator to the probable cause based on test data.
- Multi-language and customized messages can be displayed based on operators ID number.
- An audit station can be combined with the test station. This allows a sampling of prod ucts to be selectted for extended quality tests.
- Compatible with automatic production lines.
Custom fixtures are available to adapt to any product.

| Networking |
| The model 280 automatic test system provides a vital part of your ISO9000 quality management system. They can be used as stand-alone test stations or networked with a host computer. The host computer services as a source for all test parameters an a collection point for all test results. |
| |
| Features: |
The data acqusition system can tie all test data, repair actions and warranty service together for each serial number.
Data can be sorted by the product serial number or by a product batch number.
Any number of test stations can be managed from the host computer. The test stations can be located any diatance from the host computer, provided proper cabling and interconnects are provided.
The system can interface directly with PLC and computer based programs. |
| |
| Standard Tests |
| Standard tests include ground wire continuity, dielectric strength, and current draw. A wide range of other tests can also be preformed. |
These include:
- LIne Voltage Leakage
- Power Consumption
- Speed
- Pressure
- Flux
- Vibration
- Flow
- Phase Angle
- Direction
- Resistance
- Noise
- Temperature
- Others

| Typical Operation: |
| |
- At the start of the each shift an automatic functional test verifies the performance of all vital safety circuits.
- The product's model number and serial number are scanned in. Once the product is identified, the test station knows the test parameters to apply. It holds those parameters until a new product is entered.
- The safety type compliance tests are conducted, these normally include ground wire continuity, insulation resistance and dielectric strength
- Operational tests are then performed. The tests might include current draw or wattage consumption in various operating modes. Speed, temperature or coil resistance are often conducted.
- If action or inspection points by the operator are required, they are displayed on the screen.
- The operator enters the inspection results using a barcoded list of common responses; specal infor mation can be entered using the keyboard or touch screen.
- An out of tolerance condition causes the tester to remove all electrical power, alerts the operator with a visual and audible alarm. The reset button must be operated to continue.
- As all actions are compleated the test data is retained for future use. A tag or sticker can be printed with the results.

The model 280Automatic Test Station assists assists your quality efforts.
Control of The Test Parameters
- All test paramenters are secured in the host program and accessible only ot authorized personnel.
- Every product of the same model number receives the same test and has the same parameters applied.
Enforment of Uniform Procedures
- Every Operator is guided through a fixed sequence of steps to eliminate inconsistencies in the test procedure.
- Where a number of operator actions are required, message blocks and response devices are used to maintain consistent procedures.
Data Acquistion
- Both electrical and physical inspection results are recorded for every product.
- The database of information supports your statistical process control (SPC) program.
Quality Audits
- The test stations can be programmed for automatic selection of products for audit.
- Test stations can be programmed to conduct of monitor special audits, while conducting normal test programs. The results of such audits are documented on the data base.
Employee Training
- Special message blocks with detailed instruction are provided until new operator become proficient in the test procedure.
Verifcation of The Test Station Operation and Calibration
- Calibration programs guide the technician in performing the scheduled calibration.
