• At the start of each shift an automatic functional test verifies the performance of all vidal safety circuits.

• The product's model number and serial number are scanned in. Once the product is identified, the test station knows the test parameters to apply. It holds those parameters until a new product is entered.

• Safety type compliance tests are conducted, these normally include ground wire continuity, insulation resistance and dielectric strength.

• Operational tests are then preformed. The tests might include current draw or wattage consumption in various operating modes. Speed, temperature, or coil resistance is often conducted.

• If action or inspection points by the operator are required, they are displayed on the screen.

• The operator enters the inspection points using a bar-coded list of common responses.

• AN out of tolerance condition causes the tester to remove all electrical power and alert the operator with a visual and audible alarm. The reset button must be operated to continue.

• As all actions are completed the test data is retained. A tag or sticker can be printed with results.

Test parameters and inspection codes can be uploaded with a barcode scanner

Test receptacles to match all international standards are available on removable plates. The plates are secured with quarter turn fasteners and internal connectors for easy replacement.

Various screens provide the operator with real time test results and special messages.

Printers at the test station can provide reports, tags or labels.

Remote Controls

Provides start and stop/reset controls as well as a convenient test receptacles next to the operator. The unique design allows the remote to be mounted on or under the work surface. The quick-change receptacle modules allow all test voltages and receptacle types to be available to the operator and makes their replacement easy.

Receptacle Module Plates

Most automatic test sets produced by Sotcher Measurement are designed to accept one or more receptacle modules. The module can be furnished with any plug or receptacle desired. The module plates are secured with quarter turn fasteners and internal connectors for easy replacement. Commonly used receptacles can be readily accessible to the operator. Special Receptacles can be exchanged as required. Unique keying of the internal connector insures that the proper voltage and polarity is observed.

The Strip Wire Fixtures

Various types of strip wire fixtures are available. They allows for easy connection to products that do not have molded plugs. They come in manual and pneumatic operated styles.

Functional Test Boxes

The functional test box is used for daily verification of the operation of all critical safety circuits in automatic test stations.

Calibration Fixtures

Calibration fixtures provide any special circuits and components necessary for calibration.

Custom Fixtures and Adapters
